April 14, 2008

I want to thank everyone who joined us in Lynnfield for our April general meeting.  As this was our first time at the Bostonville Grille, I am pleased to say that there were many positive comments regarding the facility.  I would like to thank Board Member Dave Potter for making the arrangements.

Once again, we had a good showing closing in on almost 50 members in attendance.  I want to thank Gail Novack for an extremely informative presentation on the investigative tactics of E-Bay fraud.  The information was presented in a well organized fashion and audience participation was exceptional.

On a side note regarding, our Associate Member status, I am pleased to announce that we have already received a few applications with a number of additional inquiries.  This move will surely increase our overall membership this fall.

Our next meeting will be held on May 9th at Marina Bay in Quincy.  It will be held at the Skyline Restaurant.  We are hoping for a nice day as we will be on the second floor which promises great views of the harbor.  Our featured speaker will be Jacqueline Ebony from AIB who will demonstrate the full capabilities of this powerful database source.

***Keep in mind that this meeting will also be our election of officers for next year’s administration.  Please begin to nominate select individuals by sending a note to our Sec/Treas Jayne MacVarish.  More information will be forthcoming.***

Finally, in regards to the upcoming seminar, we are 60 days away.  I would ask that all members promote the event and reach out to potential attendees.  I would further ask that everyone reach out to their vendors and encourage them to participate in our booth program or advertisement program.  Both are critical to ensuring continued success for the seminar.
